Ashley Tisdale had already worked in television before High School Musical, but Sharpay Evans made her instantly recognizable around the world. The character’s exaggerated pink wardrobe and glamorous teen styling became part of the franchise’s identity. Tisdale’s real-life image evolved considerably after Disney, as she moved through music, acting, producing and business projects. Later photographs are much more understated than the Sharpay years. Put the two eras side by side and the difference is dramatic — especially for viewers whose strongest memory of Tisdale still involves sequins, rhinestones and East High.
