Andrew Garfield’s international breakthrough arrived around The Social Network, shortly before he became Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man. Early photographs show a younger, clean-cut actor just entering Hollywood’s top tier. Over the following years, Garfield moved between stage work, prestige films, musicals and major franchises, while his appearance became considerably more mature. Later portraits, often with different hairstyles and facial hair, look distinctly removed from the fresh-faced actor of the early 2010s. The comparison is a good example of how naturally a public image changes over fifteen years.
